Jesus is the Reason for the Season..

Little did I know in 2004 when I (Rachel Beck)  Retired  and returned home to NC, I would bring a Husband (Larry Charpiat) and one of Florida’s largest Christmas display  with me.

I was borne and raised here in Pilot Mountain North Carolina. I am one of Nine Children, and I have two Daughters and Twin Grand Children a boy and a girl.

In 1988 I transferred to Orland Florida with my job. AT&T was closing its doors here in Winston Salem NC, Orland Florida was the best place for me at the time.

Larry was borne in Jacksonville Florida and he is one of three Children one Brother and one Sister. Larry transferred to Orland from Hollywood Florida with AT&T in 1985.

Larry and I met in 1989 and became friends. In 1999 we were married in Hawaii. We both were lucky to have enough time so we could Retire and move to NC to my home place. Larry had always lived in Florida so I wasn’t sure he would like it here in NC where we have cold weather. But he loves the changing of the seasons and the cold. Spring is his favorite time of the year.

Larry started decorating in 1966 and his display grew every year, I decorated but not as much as Larry, We combined our decorations and the display gets bigger and better every year.

We both love decorating and hope our Christmas display brings as much joy to the public as it dose for us. This is our way of celebrating Jesus’ Birthday,
